In addition to keyboard, you can also use instruments and dance pads for navigation.

[edit] Global shortcuts

F11 or Alt + ↵: Switch between window and full screen.

Pause or Ctrl + P: Pause audio.

Alt + F4: Instantly exit Performous (you surely don't want to do it).

Esc or Select: Exit a screen or a function.

Ctrl + ↑/↓: Adjust volume.

Some of the above keys might be unavailable in some situations, e.g. if needed for other functions.

↑/↓: Browse menu.

↵ or Start: Select menu option.

[edit] Practice screen

The only inputs are your microphone and drums. Exit when you are done.

[edit] Configuration menu

↑/↓: Browse configuration options.

←/→: Modify the value (only numeric values for now).

Ctrl + R: Restore factory/system setting for the value.

Ctrl + S: Save the current settings to the user config file.

Ctrl + Alt + S: Save the current settings to the system config file (needs permissions).

[edit] Song selection

↵ or Start: Perform the song.

←/→: Browse songs.

End: Display song hiscores.

[edit] In normal mode

ABC...: Type ahead to find/filter songs (Esc to clear).

↓/↑: Change sort order.

PgDn/PgUp: Jump in 10 song steps.

Ctrl + R: Rescan and reload all songs.

↹: Reshuffle the songs.

F4: Jukebox mode.

F5/F6/F7/F8: Add vocals/guitars/drums/dance to the filter. You can add just one of them or make combinations (green colour will show which ones are selected).

↓/↑: Seek in 5 second steps.

PgDn/PgUp: Seek in 30 second steps.

↵: Skip over intrumental breaks (when singing only).

Ctrl + S: Toggle synthesizer mode.

Ctrl + F1/F2: Adjust A/V delay (when the notes cross the black line).

Ctrl + F3/F4: Adjust audio round-trip latency (easier with the synth mode enabled).

Ctrl + F5/F6: Adjust controller delay.

Ctrl + K: Karaoke mode (disable scoring and note display).

Ctrl + W: Performance mode (disable player's pitch display).

Ctrl + R: Reload song file.

Ctrl + Home: Seek to the beginning.

Ctrl + ←/→: Seek in 5 second steps.

Ctrl+v or Ctrl+Shift+v: Mute or enable vocals track when it is possible (when a vocals.ogg file exist; see Real karaoke documentation).

Note: Many keyboards don't allow pressing multiple keys simultaneously e.g. F1+F2+↵, so if you feel you're hits are not registered, try using Right Shift instead of Enter, or switch to numbers.
